Data Deletion Policy

This policy explains how to delete your AskQA account and associated data, what we remove, and what we may retain.

1. What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize, as applicable:

  • Account profile (name, email, company, password hash)
  • Campaign configuration and onboarding answers
  • Lead results, outreach drafts, approvals, and exports stored in your account
  • Campaign job history tied to your account
  • SMTP / client inbox credentials you saved in settings (if any)
  • Password reset tokens and active session tokens
  • Reply-tracking tokens tied to your campaigns

2. What we may keep

We may retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:

  • Billing and invoice records (if you had a paid plan)
  • Security, fraud-prevention, and abuse logs (typically up to 90 days)
  • Backup copies that roll off on a normal backup cycle (usually within 30 days)
  • Anonymized or aggregated statistics that cannot identify you

3. How to request deletion

Email viral@askqa.app from the address on your account with:

  • Subject line: Account deletion request
  • Your registered email address
  • Company name (if applicable)
  • Confirmation that you want permanent deletion

We verify ownership before deleting. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.

4. Prospect / lead contact data

Lead and contact information discovered during your campaigns is stored for your use in the Service. When your account is deleted, that data is removed from our systems as part of account teardown. You are responsible for complying with local laws regarding prospects you previously contacted outside our platform.

5. Click tracking data

Tracked link events (/r/…) associated with your account are deleted with your account. Aggregated click metrics with no account identifier may remain in anonymized form.

6. Cancel vs delete

Canceling a paid subscription stops future charges but does not by itself delete your account. To fully remove data, submit a deletion request.
